Quicklime and Slaked Lime:

Reaction between calcium oxide also known as Quick lime with water produces calcium hydroxide (Slaked lime). The calcium hydroxide produced in the above reaction remains asa white suspension.

It is filtered and solution containing soluble calcium hydroxide is used for white washing walls.
